Product labeling for Food and Beverage Industry

There is a multitude of international legislation to be dealt with in product declaration. For the food and beverage industry, e.g., the SAP PLM master data as trade names, ingredient lists, QUIDs, allergens and nutrient information have to be presented to the consumers in a well-defined way, depending heavily on the target market. Using SAP PLM, it is possible using the same set of master data for a product, to create automatically declarations which are compliant with, e.g., European and US-American regulations.

Product labeling for Cosmetics industry

In Europe, cosmetics industry has to declare its in-house developed formulations and products according to the INCI legislation. In the US, it is the declaration according to CTFA. SI PRO is happy to assist you in the creation of the necessary SAP PLM master data, e.g., the content of the CosIng database (cosmetic ingredient database). Using this master data, the SAP PLM Labelling tools can generate and release the necessary declarations, e.g., the ingredient list. Using the CTFA data, we offer a similar setup for the US regulation.

Using Verisk 3E’s content for product declara­tion and product labeling

SI PRO is implementation partner of Verisk 3E, whose regularly updated content can be a quality-assured add-on for your declaration-relevant master data (like substance identifiers, substance limits, allowed usage per legislation area, etc.). Using this content and the SAP PLM Compliance Check you can automatically check your SAP PLM recipes and your SAP PLM specifications concerning the compliance regulations of your products target markets. Based on this composition, now optimized for the target markets, it is possible to create compliant product declarations for the individual target markets using the SAP PLM Labeling tool and the Verisk 3E Content. This is facilitated by the internalisation of Verisk 3E’s content. The complete Content functionality, not only the delivered master data, but also the management tools (for initial setup, regular updates, support, etc.) are all compliant with the SAP PLM standard functionality and can be configured via customizing according to your needs.
