SAP PLM - BOM Management

PLM RD Recipe Management
The recipe object is one of the cornerstones of SAP PLM. SI PRO GmbH has utilised various options to provide its customers with an easy way to create and manage recipes. These include an independent user interface customised to specific requirements and a function for importing recipes from material BOMs.
Especially for test series, our customers create several recipes at the same time and compare the calculation results. By default, SAP PLM Recipe Development has a separate editing window for each recipe. The Multi Formula Editor only offers limited functionalities with a moderately intuitive user interface. As a result, SI PRO GmbH has developed a customised solution that saves a great deal of time and ensures greater clarity and comparability of recipes and calculation results.
- It is possible to create or change several specifications and hierarchical recipes simultaneously. Among other things, you can use newly created semi-finished product recipes in finished product recipes in a single step.
- You can compare various calculation results and properties of semi-finished and finished products in a display window.
- Further additional functionalities can be implemented according to customer requirements.
SI PRO GmbH has implemented a fast, uncomplicated method of recipe creation for its customers, in which the recipes are migrated by importing the bill of materials. This allows the items of a bill of materials, which can be selected during the process, to be transferred to the recipe formula. Specifications are assigned to the given materials based on predefined logic. In addition, recipe formula-specific fields, such as the component type, can be filled with substance characteristic categories of the respective specification.
